Hmm, with a stress on silly rather than on masterpiece? Sorry, I don't want to be polemical, but I must say, the older I get, the less I could bear Mr. Zappa's silliness. Sure, I still have to admit his musical mastership. However, I have to yell out: Bravo, Bravo Juju! Great start for a blog. With names like Zappa, Boredoms, Peter Brötzmann, Luc Ferrari and Johnny Cash as the early cornerstones! Couldn't be more perfect.
Do be polemical!!! Anyone will consider this a silly work, even if ready to concede it is a masterpiece. Zappa (or, at least, the good Zappa) has always been somewhere between these labels - silly and genial. Thanks for your kind and encouraging words. And thanks for your great blog.
